Nutmeg @ Bangsar Village II

Located right opposite Zara in Bangsar Village II, Nutmeg is a rather new restaurant that is hard to miss as it's the only restaurant which is on the same row as other retails shops.

We reached the place at about 12pm for brunch and boy, it was full! Luckily it didn't take long for them to seat us at a proper table instead of at the bar.

Decorations are quite minimal in the restaurant, in fact, it's almost the same concept as those you find in Publika like Red Bean Bag, Plan B, lots of DIY stuffs, fresh flowers on the table, etc.

Lights made from transparent jars.

I'm the type of person who will research on things and places I wanna go to so my intention of coming here is to order this:

Eggs benedict with salt beef, RM26

It was delish! The runny yellow thing you see above is actually not the egg yolk, but the Hollandaise sauce. I think I still prefer the other Hollandaise sauce which is brown instead of yellow.

You can choose to have your eggs benedict with house-cured salmon or salt beef, like mine.

Babe ordered Big Breakfast that comes with several other sides as well. You can enlarge the menu picture I uploaded if you're interested to know what the available choices are.

Nutmeg Big Breakfast, RM28

I tried the mushroom on Babe's dish, it was really yums! So were the cherry tomatoes! Not that crazy over the sausage though.

Service was very pleasant and we didn't have to wait long for our food although there were many customers around.

Price is a little high but for the food and atmosphere, I think it's fine since I plan to do this like once a month? Haha. :P

One Evening In London

As most of my time was spent alone in London, I was very tempted to explore even more places!
Don't get me wrong, I have friends or colleagues but you wouldn't wanna be seeing them every night even after work, right?

With this new found freedom, one evening, I decided to go to Covent Garden again after 3 years. It still looks the same!

Having dinner alone doesn't mean you have to choose a quiet place, as far away from civilization as possible.
I love crowds, I don't mind being alone in the crowd as long as these people are civilized, I'm all good.

The restaurant I went to was Tuttons, a lovely restaurant that looks rather posh on the inside.

My dinner for the night. :)

After dinner, I took a stroll around the area and came across a Laduree shop!
To be honest, I'm not a big fan of desserts (or macarons), but I'm a sucker for pretty things.

My picks of the night. :)

As the night was still quite young, I thought I should just spend more time outside, you know, just seeing things around.

Street levitation. I was curious so I googled how he managed to do that because I don't believe in supernatural power except in Heroes.

Queen Elizabeth as souvenirs, anyone?

Leicester Square - one of the venues for musicals.

At one point while walking around the street there, I was lost and I felt like I was being followed.
You know what they say, always trust a woman's instinct. But it was too early to find if it's true that I was being followed because I hurriedly stopped a passerby to ask for direction back to the tube station. :P
But it's all gooooood. :)

Shu Uemura Face Powder Matte

Being a rather vain-ish girl, I'm always on the lookout for make-ups and skincare products that suit my needs at that moment of time.
So one day, I decided to get a loose powder because despite knowing its importance, I never actually own one!
After going through a couple of reviews online, I got the Shu Uemura Matte Loose Face Powder. For my skin type, I got the pink base so that my face doesn't appear pale since I have a yellow undertone.

If you're wondering what's the importance of loose powder, it works as an absorbent to prevent your skin from being too oily and it also functions to make your make up settle better on your face aka last longer.

According to the sales assistant, this 20g of loose powder should be able to last up to 8 months (if I'm not mistaken).

I've been using it everyday for a few months now and it doesn't even look like I've used it because it's still that full!

The powder comes with a small round sponge which sits nicely in the container.

I must admit the sponge is no longer as clean as that anymore. :-X

I really love this powder because even after a whole day at work, my skin doesn't look as oily as before! :)
And it looks as if it's gonna last me a lifetime! Definitely worth the price tag if you'd ask me.

Outfit of My Days in Europe

Gonna blog about my outfits during my Europe trip! Since it was (or is it still) summer, I can pretty much wear the kind of clothes we girls wear in Malaysia! :)

I'd like to describe my style as simple and chic. I just find it really interesting to be able to mix and match my clothes so I always try to get clothes which are not restricted to a type of look.

Anyway, outfits are numbered from Day 1 till Day 6 (except the ones when I was at the airports :P).
Here it goes!
