Sekkisei Sun Protect Gel

Since I'm in the mood to blog, I thought I might as well just write another beauty post since it's not sponsored and I can't get tax relief from it.

Anyway, I started using Kosé skincare products around July last year after having breakouts and what not and I got hooked! I have so far purchased their white mask, lotion (or toner), moisturizer, make up remover, and facial wash...all from the Sekkisei range!

I have to be honest, I'm a sucker for all Kosé products! I have seen and heard from a lot of people about how good its products are and I just can't seem to stop getting myself updated with all their products and yea, this is their latest!

Light weight texture

I like that the texture is very light weight, unlike many other sun blocks in the market...I have been using the Clinique tinted sunblock (got lots of samples from them) but I have got to say, it kinda disappoints after long term use because the texture (Clinique's) is quite thick and when I apply it on my face, it makes my face a little flaky. Could be due to my dry combination skin.

As for this gel, it glides on smoothly on my skin and it feels just like a moisturizer! Although it's not tinted, you know your skin is in good hands because it has SPF 50+ some more!

There's a sheer radiance on the skin after application.

Plus, I love the smell!

I bought this sun protector for RM52 from Mid Valley as they are having promotion for the gel (usual price is RM90!) so grabbed it today if you're in town because the promotion is until today!

Will do for a review for the rest of the products in the range if I'm hardworking enough! :)

How Many Years Have We Been Together?

That's the question I've been asked a lot of times recently.

Honestly, this time around, it took me quite a few seconds before I managed to tell them the answer - more than 9 years. Say whaaat?

Yes, I think age has caught up unfortunately. Anyway, to celebrate our 9 years together, we decided to go back to where it all started - PENANG!!!

Hitting the road!
Candid shot but I like.

Won this nude trench Dior lipstick from Cleo! Thanks! :D

My favorite material things :)

Random: My mom bought hokkien mee (prawn noodles) for breakfast!

So upon reaching Penang, we wasted no more time and I started off the celebration by bringing Babe to his surprise anniversary gift - a well-deserved spa somewhere near Gurney! It was worth it because he was surprised! :D

Our first time doing spa together. :)

Love the ambiance and the tea, too!

I love the spa experience! It was my first time at a spa although I was a little shy that she (the masseuse) stripped me down till my bottom but the massage was oh-so-amazing!!!

Oh hi! Glad that you enjoyed it.

Next up, it's my surprise..hehe. Babe took me to Bayview Beach Resort where he prepared the room with all our photos throughout the 9 years together..forgot to snap a photo of the album but oh well *melts*

Trying to be all touristy, borrowed the beach dress from sis. Heee.

For dinner, Babe took me to the famous Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa buffet dinner........yums! The last time I went there was with OCY and Evelyn when they had a farewell for me for leaving Penang. Time flies!!!

Preparing for dinner. Nude dress from H&M, London in 2010.

I just can't wait to share with you guys the food photos I took during the dinner! The buffet spread there was as usual, very delicious and I like that it includes many different types of cuisine!

Colorful how the colors pop out!

Marshmallows, anyone? ;)

Can someone tell me what's this?

A simple yet somewhat luxurious looking ice cream.

Babe took this dessert. His love for macarons never dies..

After all the hoo-hahs during buffer dinner, both of us could barely walk ourselves out of the restaurant. To those who haven't tried before, go for it! It's a tad expensive but anniversaries only come once a it was worth it. :)

Babe bought langsat for his dad.

To end the post, I just want to let Babe know that these 9 years haven't been easy and I'm glad we are still going through it together. I cannot express in words how much joy you have brought to my life and although there were tears along the journey as well, I know you'll always be there to wipe 'em tears away.

PS: We were pretending to look far ahead into our future~ turned out a bit funny though. Haha. :P

La Vie En Rose (Part II)

Woohoo! Finally have some time to squeze in a short blog post before the weekend ends.
Today's post is going to be about food!

Few weekends ago, I decided to bring Babe to La Vie En Rose because he was feeling down and stressed out and what not.
I chose to go there again after my first time with OCY last year because I was (sort of) craving for good food and he was feeling blue so why not!

We were the only customers there at that time...but it was more like a brunch than breakfast already.. :-X

Pardon the sleepy face and huge eyebags. :(

After placing our orders, as usual, they served us the appetizers!

Oven fresh pastries! Lotsa of them and it's refillable!

Yogurt with apple sauce, anyone?

The main course I ordered was eggy, which comes with eggs benedict, scrambled eggs and a super huge sausage!

My very first eggs benedict. Loved how the flowy egg yolk mixed really well with the vege and bread underneath it.

I love the main course I ordered! I didn't expect the sausage to be so meaty and full of flavour!
And the sauce on the eggs benedict was simply out of this world...I've never tasted any sauce like that before and I liked that it makes me feel like it's worth the money spent. :P

Babe ordered smokey! It came with duckmeat shepherd's pie, grilled bacon strips and mushrooms on French toast and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.

Initially, I was a tad sad that my favorite roasted potatoes are not in the list of food we ordered but wala! They served us the potatoes as well but I have no idea which main course it came with. :P

Roasted potatoes yummy as usual!

Smoked salmon on scrambled eggs.

Bacon strips + mushrooms on French toast.

Duckmeat shepherd's pie.

This time around, I managed to try different mains as compared to the one I tried when I went with OCY.
I've gotta say though, the food in La Vie En Rose never disappoints despite the bill amounts to ~RM150.

But what's life if you do not enjoy it while you still can?
One of the things I enjoy doing is eating good food, hence the post! *now that explains the fat face*
