Walking Down The Streets of London

I took quite a good few seconds before I finally managed to write something down as the beginning of this post.
Frankly, I'm trying to recall every single bit (albeit impossible) of my trip there but I'll probably let the pics do the talking most of the time.

Anyway, London greeted us with a beautiful and bright morning on my official 1st day there!
I was really really excited because I barely saw anything the night before when I reached so I predicted the day would be an awesome one and I was indeed right! :D

Getting ready to head out!

First stop was the High St. Kensington which was located just minutes away from where Babe lives.

As you can see, High St. Kensington is one of the many shopping locations in London.
Everything sold there is rather pricey but if you don't convert the currency, I'm sure you'll find a lot of things that suit your taste!

I didn't take a lot of pics on this street but you'll expect brands like H&M, Uniqlo, Topshop etc (ok I can't remember but they're mostly famous branded :P) along the street.

London double decker buses for REAL!!

The funny thing is that walking in London seemed endless because we rarely took the tubes/buses/trains and the weather was really cold yet I didn't even complain a single bit!
With no sweat dripping or smudged make up, I definitely can walk like miles with a pathetic smile stuck on my face all the time!

He claimed that Madonna lives here..but the guard laughed us off! -.-

After the mission of searching for a pair of suitable gloves for me failed, Babe took me to walk along the Kensington Gardens which was adjacent to the HSK.
He said that Madonna lives in one of the houses there but all we saw were national flags for a variety of country but we couldn't care less so we started taking pics!

Then an armed guard approached us and told us that we were not allowed to take any pics and no, Madonna doesn't live there! Such a disappointment. Haha.

After walking passed the stretch of houses, we made our way to the public park and were entertained by the gaggles of geese and birds straying around trying to get some food from the visitors!

In front of the Kensington Palace, the official residence of the beautiful Princess of Wales!

I fell in love with London almost immediately.
I recall how nice it was to walk in the cold weather, to breathe in the fresh air and to just be mesmerized by the buildings and the lovely sky.
Everything felt so right then.

I kinda like the color of the buildings! Somehow it compliments well with everything else I feel.

As we walked towards the end of Kensington Gardens, we came across the Albert Memorial and I must say it's actually a very interesting memorial! (not gonna start with the history and all, just click on the wiki link)
The thing I like most about the memorial is the sculptures on each side of the statue!
They each represent different things so please read up from the link again. Haha. It's pretty much what I wanna say here so I'll just save it la. :P

Albert Memorial

Royal Albert Hall just opposite the Albert Memorial!

Below are pictures which I have somewhat missed out earlier yet I still feel like sharing!
Gotta love London that much!! ♥

The memorial fountain for the lovely Princess Diana which looks pretty lame unlike the one in the link..

Exactly my expression throughout my time in London!

Look at the branches! Still look so beautiful even without 'em leaves.

Then we took the bus to Oxford Street to do some shopping!
I heard that Primark has lots of cheap and affordable stuffs and I can't wait but to bug Babe to bring me there on the 1st day itself! Heheheh.
But it was also because I needed to get some necessities for meself! *excuses

Can you say cheap?

But actually, after all the good reviews about Primark, I still think that although their stuffs are pretty inexpensive, I don't really like it because it's way too crowded and their stuffs don't really suit my taste! Oh wells.

Some shots I took from the bus, hence the blurry pics. :(

Policemen on horses! I sound like a sua pa but you don't see them here in Msia!

Oh sorry, I just saw these bunch of pics after uploading them since weeks ago!
Yes, that was how long I took before posting this up for viewing!
Been procrastinating due to my fyp and all. Sigh.

Babe on the phone with a friend. He had to tell his friend that we won't be in London for few days and I wasn't supposed to hear that cos it was meant to be a surprise for me! So I decided to distant myself just to not ruin my own surprise!

A notice outside the Royal School of Mines (RSM), Imperial College.

A super spacious toilet! This pic doesn't do justice to it but I think it was for the handicapped? But still it's really HUGE!

The Queen's Tower in Imperial College.

Inside the RSM school. So grand looking like a hotel! Please compare to my school in USM. Blergh. Fine, fine, shouldn't compare directly la.

See the outside! *faces palm thinking of my own school

Our lunch at Imperial's cafeteria! I think this costs around £4.49?

Christmas deco along the streets of ...I can't remember. :/

London phone booths are quite....obscene.

London tube! I love the underground! Not only it arrives on time, it's clean and very convenient too!

Finally ending this post with a picture of us!

Us having a cuppa hot chocolate at Covent Garden.

ps: The next post on London shouldn't take very long from now because I've edited the pics! :) *crosses fingers
