Cousin's Belated Birthday Dinner At Sakae Sushi

After weeks of depriving myself from good food, finally I went out with my sister and my cousin, Nicholas to celebrate his birthday which fell on the 23rd!

We went to Sakae Sushi in Queensbay to have a simple birthday dinner with the guy whom I trust the most in my entire uni life!
Nicholas has always been the one who exposes me to various types of food that Nibong Tebal has to offer!
So that also pretty much explains why I'm interested in scouting for food everywhere I go.
It runs in the blood you see.

It's not just the food that I'm thankful for, but it's the company and the feeling of having a family in a place where you spend most of your time in since I only go back home on the weekends.
Throughout the 3 years of my uni life thus far, he has given me a lot of invaluable advices and widened my network of friends.
He is simply awesome beyond words can describe.

So anyway, picture time!

I kinda like the lighting in Sakae Sushi. Don't you think it's much better than Sushi King??
But I'm only interested in the looks though because Sakae Sushi was playing some kiddy songs (eg: Doraemon) while we were feasting and it was rather noisy and disturbing.

I didn't know that the green tea has roasted rice in it! Very fragrant indeed. Reminds me of the tea my roomie bought me from Cameron Highland!

Sis giving placing orders.

The birthday boy!

The service was kinda good. The food was served pretty fast after we confirmed our orders.

WARNING: You might need to prepare a tissue with you before continue reading just in case you salivate.

This is Ikura Chawanmushi. A MUST TRY! The salmon roe is simply out of this world.
Or maybe because it was the first time I tried salmon roe. Hehe.
But the amount of salmon roe shown in the menu is REALLY for illustration purposes only if you get what I mean. =.="

This, if I'm not mistaken is the Sakae Chawanmushi. Nicholas ordered this!

This is Salmon Mentai. Don't quite remember how it tasted like. Probably quite typical.

This is Teriyaki Chicken Don. Which I can't eat because my cough hasn't totally gone yet. :(

I can never fail to order the unagi sushi or meal whenever I visit any sushi outlets.
This is Unatama Don. Simply delicious!!!!!!!

Same goes to my sister. We both have a thang for unagi.
She ordered Unagi Kamameshi.

I just have to stop her from enjoying her food with my photography fetish. :P
But I guess she enjoys it too. Hahaha.

My cousin! Hope you enjoyed the dinner! :)

I wonder why I was rather uptight that evening. Should have done more poses. :S

Sistas.

See what I mean when I say she enjoys the attention? haha. Kidding.
This is the after picture. Hence the I-want-more-unagi look. :P

This is called....Salmon Karaage I think. Salmon is my 2nd love after unagi!

Finally able to smile after weeks of not getting good food like this!
This is actually my first attempt of tying my hair all up like this ever since god knows when.
:)

Satisfied customers!

An obligatory picture to end a blog entry which I'm totally happy to write again anytime! :P

Last but not least,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COUZZIE!

I hope you will have a wonderful time from August onwards in the States and we'll miss you!
I will definitely miss having you around in campus. T__T
Thanks for everything and all the best to you!

Operation © Big Surprise!

I bet there are a number of you who have been following Babe's Operation © Big Surprise Clues for quite some time now.

It's actually a surprise triggered by yours truly (aih tak tau malu :P) thanks to blog hopping and reading entries of couples who are dealing with LDR as well.

So yeah, there you go. But being the super irritating gf as I am, Babe tolerated me although he has done a lot for me but there is no such thing as enough especially when you're so far apart from each other in my opinion.

We talk on Skype everyday, he called me from Skype once in a while, we correspond mails through snail mail, I send him SMS daily...still, I am GREEDY. It's never gonna be enough for me.

After being with him for more than 6 years, I'm glad we have grown more mature to accept the fact that these are just part of our lives. The momentary separation will eventually lead to a blissful ending.

To cut the long story short, Babe came up with this Operation © Big Surprise Clues that are supposed to lead me to my ultimate surprise.

Actually, the clues were supposed to last until the day he gets back here (ie: July) before I get to find out exactly what it is.

I must admit, he's getting better at surprising me. I remember how I will always ruin his surprises because he will always give me hints whenever I start bugging him.

And i can always guess his surprises once the hints are given! HAHAHAHA.

But this one should actually be an easy one. I think I got so worked up on it that I missed the obvious parts until my sister told me.

Damn, I shouldn't have asked her lor if I knew she's that good in guessing what the surprise is hahaha.

So I began to receive my surprise mails in April and haven't finished sorting it out yet. I already told Babe I knew what the surprise is although not fully but I can guess it already because of my itchy hands!

A very big turn off indeed. He asked me not to open the last mail he sent me until yesterday but I happily went to open it as soon as I saw a mail from him which reached me last week.

Totally forgotten what he told me because I was too excited! :P Sorry bb. Hehe.

In the midst of sorting.

But fret not, I'll only complete the puzzle when Babe comes back. :P

Of course I'll be arranging most of them by myself first and we'll do the last few pieces together. :)

Will update more on Operation © Big Surprise soon! :) Not really in the mood of writing now.

For The Past Two Weeks

I’m finally back on track again!

Ok la maybe not on track (yet) because actually before my exam ended, I secretly told myself that if I wanna earn more from Nuffnang, I should blog as often as I could. Correction: Daily.

But that was because I didn’t know my internship will occupy so much of my time which is causing me to be ill for weeks!

Yesh..I’ve been sick since last 2 weeks.

It all started a day after I had dinner with my friends at Crepe Cottage.

Who would have thought a serving of crepe with ice cream can cause sore throat and cough like I had?

Sigh..I know I’ve always been really weak in terms of health but little did I know that my body can’t take such food and I was down for a week due to that alone.

So I went to the doctor on Thursday after much hesitation and got myself an MC for Friday.

It wasn’t that bad yet because I was only coughing (although it was really severe) and all but there wasn’t any headache or nausea involved.

So I was practically (almost) like usual except that I had to refrain myself from having food outside. SIGH.

Anyway, my cough didn’t get any better on the following week (this week) after finishing almost 2 bottles of the cough syrup the doctor gave me.

Oh just in case you’re wondering, I went to the company’s clinic on last Tuesday and was given 2 small bottles of cough syrup by the nurse. No doctor available at that time.

However, I got much worse and decided to go to the company’s panel clinic on Thursday and the doctor gave me another big bottle of cough syrup.

It’s the same medicine because both clinics are from the same company.

So that’s why I didn’t get any better.

And if you’re wondering also why I went to the same clinic since I will be getting the same medicine again, that’s because I could only remember that particular clinic in my company’s list of panels.

In other words, I screw up la for not bringing/remembering other clinics in the list.

So my cough eventually got better (somehow since I stopped taking the medicine) and then came my severe headache.

It was on Tuesday when I had this headache and my supervisor took me to the company’s clinic.

Knowing that they give lousy medicine (as said so by other colleagues as well), I took two pills on the spot as asked by the nurse (yes, no doctor at this time again FML) and didn’t wanna consume it anymore the next day.

As expected my headache got worse and I vomited twice on the following day (Wednesday) and thrice on Thursday.

Everybody wondered why I got so weak and vomited so many times.

A few of them suspected it was morning sickness but like wth?! Ridiculous crap.

I wanna declare here that I AM NOT CONCEIVING OKAY MY GOODNESS CAN YOU PEOPLE PLEASE USE YOUR HEAD TO THINK??

I know my uni friends (in the same company) know me well enough but there are some other colleagues who just wanna get on my nerves.

So anyway yesterday when I vomited 3 times, it was really too much for me to handle because I could feel the pain so much that I had to keep pressing or massaging my head to relieve the pain.

I couldn’t work, couldn’t talk as I used to and all I wanna do was to lie and rest on my bed for as long as I could.

But I didn’t wanna take MC again because I didn’t want people to bad mouth about me for taking MC on a Friday again since I don’t work on weekends. But of course, if I really didn’t think I can make it on the next day, I would have gone to the clinic again to get an MC.

So my mom went to the pharmacy and bought some more medicine.

By now, can you imagine how many types of medicine I have been consuming for the past 2 weeks alone?

From antibiotics, to cough syrup, medicine for flu, lozenges for sore throat , 3 different types of tablets for headache and vomiting. GREAT.

I’m just so thankful I’m still breathing now.

Today, I got much better already because I realized a trick to solve my illnesses.

It’s my BRAIN! *yay nonsense*

I found out that the crepes probably caused the cough and sore throat but the headache and vomiting were all in my head, as in it was because of work pressure.

Being a newbie in this working field, I realized I have been giving myself a lot of pressure just to be able to perform better.

But ironically, all this wanting to perform and fit in had taken its toll on me.

So I took some time to talk to myself before I slept last night that I must get well no matter what because if this pursues, I’m gonna bring so much trouble not only to myself, but to my supervisor and colleagues as well.

And WALA! I still have a very minor headache today but no vomiting at all today! YAYY!

I was so elated despite having to eat only bread as my meals today. :(

Thou shall not be worried because tomorrow I’m gonna chill! Haha. Nah, we’ll see.

Just in case if you’re still reading until now, BRAVO! For bearing with my horrible English and boring entry..

Anyway, I just wanna say thank you to everyone who cared for me especially my mom and my uni mates who have been worrying when I was ill. I’m really grateful to have you all by my side. :)

Oh before I forget, after I first vomited (on Wednesday), I received an SMS (about the time when I was vomiting) by Babe saying this:

Bb, how are you today? Suddenly so worried about you. Miss u bb.

I swear I didn’t tell him anything about me being ill except for the cough which already gotten better at that time! I couldn’t help but to smile although my head was aching like mad. And he seldom SMS me from Aussie which made it even better! :D

Then today, when I’m already feeling much better with no vomiting at all and very minor headache, Babe sent me an SMS telling me he won first prize in an essay competition! I couldn’t be HAPPIER!! Congrats, DEAR!! I’M SO PROUD OF YOUUUUUUUUUUU!

GOOD THINGS ARE COMING I TELL YA!!

My Hammer!

WARNING: This entry has lots of vain pics. Be prepared or be square. Erm. Nvm.

I bought myself a pair of new spectacles!

Whee!~ This is not the just-for-fun spectacles like most people are wearing these days ok!
I really wear spectacles in classes, while staring at my lappie and the idiot box, and driving too!
It's just that I try to not wear it as often as others because I saw for myself how the size of my friends' eyes changed due to the long term of wearing specs!

I have always been known as the girl with goldfish eyes since small and I really take that as a compliment! :D
But despite that, I failed to take care of my eyes and I feel the utmost guilt about it.

Since I can't afford to laser my eyes now (not that I dare to even do it if I could afford it), so I'll just pamper the windows to my heart by giving them a fine-looking pair of specs!

Introducing to you all for the first time ever,
.
.
.
.

My Hammerrrrrrrrrrrr!

I finally got rid of my old specs!
Forgot to take a pic of my old specs which has served me for almost a decade. Haih so disloyal.
Will post it up soon, not that it's nice also la. Just the typical frameless specs and senget some more.
Must try to be gaya (chio) a bit now since everyone is so into dark-framed specs. :P

I didn't choose Hammer on purpose.
In fact, I know nothing about spectacles brands because I don't really care as long as I like how I look with the specs.
But of course something that is within my budget also la since this time no sponsor anymore :(. Can't afford the Calvin Klein and specs of that sorts!

Anyway, all I did was went into the optical shop and let my mom be my opinionator or whatever you call it.
But that sales girl is quite skillful I must say, keep pushing the branded ones to me and I obviously have to choose one of those since there were too many choices and my mom and I already set our eyes on this.
Or maybe it was just my mom. I wanted the black frame one!

The case is awesome. See the detail of the fabric on the casing?

It didn't feel right at all the first time I put it on (after it has become mine that is) because I was so used to wearing frameless that when I wore Hammer, it felt as though either my face has become wider than it already is or my eyes become smaller or etc.
More specifically, my eyes feel like they are restrained now for some reasons. :S
Or maybe I'm just exaggerating. :P

So after that I immediately drove back to my house, eh no, drove to the clinic to see the doctor with the help of my Hammer and I feel a tad more comfortable then.
Comfortable with Hammer, not my illnesses. I was still sick then.

So anyway I guess that's all about my introduction to Hammer and I hope you all think it looks good on me.
Erm actually look ugly also nothing I can do about it because I'm dead broke now :/
Some more internship salary is only Rm500 a month. Sigh.

So, how do you like my Hammer??

Or is Hammer a bummer?

ps: Oh and the sales girl told me that this brand is endorsed by Bosco Wong. I don't really like him but nevermind la since he's kinda cute heeeeeeeee. :)

Tea Session & Crepe-y (Creepy) Moments With Friends

I'm on MC today.
I hate taking MCs unless I really have no choice.
In my years of experience in working (although not permanently since I'm still studying), I seriously detest taking MCs.
I most probably have taken less than 3 MCs in my life thus far.
Not too sure why but I really don't like the feeling of staying at home because I rather be doing something than to rot at home like now.

But this time, I'm down with cough, sore throat and minor flu since last Sunday.
I got the medicine from my company's clinic which didn't help at all, instead I think my cough got worsen after that.
Sigh. So right now I'm here to spend some time trying to earn some side earnings through Nuffnang!
Well, this is not possible if it wasn't for friends and readers like you all!
So, THANK YOU! Muahh!

.
.
.

So today I'm gonna talk about what happened last Saturday!
Last week was pretty tiring so I decided to have some time with some friends just to chill out and to kill time!

CY asked Eve and I out since we haven't met for god knows how long and we went for some tea session ala CY's style: Starbucks at Borders.
Had some girly talk session, updating each other with the latest happenings and they're all gonna graduate soon except for me. :(
Didn't take any pics in Starbucks because I was busy talking ahah.

On my way to fetch Eve.

I introduced them to my Red Devil and they claimed that my Red Devil is sexayy! Hahaha. Not bad eh?
Then I forced them into taking pics!

Took this pic in Forever 21 and got warned by the staff. :(

Would you believe if I say this is the first time we actually took a picture together?
After knowing each other for a decade...

The ever full-of-expressions CY.

Then later in the evening, I rushed to another side of the island just to meet up with my uni friends for even more chilling session! Hehe.
We went to the Crepe Cottage in Gurney Drive to have dinner but I didn't have appetite at all the whole day. :(

The interior.

The selections they have.

Knowing that I have been taking pics almost everywhere I go, my friends gave in to me and let me go on with my picture frenzy. :P

Chit chatting about our internship experiences so far while waiting for our food.

SP & YT.

Serena & I.

CL & CL. Haha.

Finally the food arrived!
A lot of people have been complaining that the service is slow but I didn't really notice that.
Probably was too busy talking! :X

I didn't try to remember the names of the food that we ordered so I'll just let the pics do the talking instead.

Sorry, Beau. Although the photo is blur, but at least I still managed to capture your sweet smile! Hhaha.

WP & Beautiful.

The cool MC.

I know that it sounds very lame to not describe the food and the prices and all, probably because I'm listening to songs now and it's a tad distracting so it explains why this post is kinda boring...
Or maybe the cough syrup is making me drowsy.

Anyway, more pics!

This is the entrance.

This is how the cottage looks like. It's located right beside Coffee Island.

Decided to explore more of my Red Devil's functions! :)

I tried using the Long Shutter mode for 6 secs. Pardon my shaky hands or else the pic would have turned out great! Errrr.

And the consequences of eating crepes, I got sick the next day until now.

Off to rest for now,
toodles.
